Beginning in 1997, the organization was founded as the Bilateral U.S.-Arab Chamber of Commerce in Houston, TX, the center of the global energy industry, to promote trade, investment, training, and educational exchanges between the U.S. and MENA region. By developing deep and strong ties to leading business executives guiding this industry, the organization quickly became a critical partner assisting clients in successfully navigating foreign energy markets. 

 

As the organization’s expertise continued to diversify into new sectors and markets over the years, so did its global footprint, resulting in a rebrand of the organization as the Bilateral Chamber.  Since our inception, we have partnered with and hosted more than 100 international delegations resulting in a networking database of approximately 36,000 industry professionals and valued relationships, representing more than $300 billion invested in U.S. goods and services.

 

Through our network, we have facilitated successful commercial outcomes, resulting in more than $100 billion in documented transactions.    

 

As a membership-based network comprising U.S. and international business and government leaders, the organization offers a range of programs and services equally reflecting the interests of its diverse stakeholders, which include Fortune 100 companies, policy makers, U.S. and foreign government officials, academics, and prominent business leaders. 

 

The Bilateral Chamber also serves as a trusted partner to many public sector entities including U.S. Departments of Commerce, Energy, and State, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), as well as numerous state and municipal agencies throughout the U.S.
