19th Annual US-Algeria Energy Forum

The Bilateral Chamber, in partnership with the U.S.–Algeria Business Council, successfully convened the 19th Annual U.S.–Algeria Energy Forum in Lake Charles, Louisiana, alongside the Americas LNG Summit & Exhibition. The Forum welcomed a high-level delegation from Sonatrach and senior U.S. energy executives to explore opportunities for investment, technology exchange, and expanded bilateral cooperation.

A highlight of the Forum was an executive panel moderated by Ms. Aida Araissi, Founder and CEO of the Bilateral Chamber, featuring:

• Mr. Keith Simpson, Head of International Unconventional Exploration, ExxonMobil
• Mr. Warren Murdoch, President & General Manager, Algeria, OXY

The discussion focused on strengthening Algeria's investment competitiveness, accelerating unconventional resource development, and leveraging U.S. expertise in advanced technologies, digitalization, and AI to optimize production and unlock greater value from existing energy assets.

The Forum reaffirmed the strategic importance of the U.S.–Algeria energy partnership and the Bilateral Chamber's continued commitment to facilitating meaningful commercial engagement and investment opportunities across Algeria and the broader African continent.
