The Bilateral Chamber supported the U.S. Trade and Development Agency's reverse trade mission on advanced technologies for methane abatement for Algeria, Egypt, and Libya. This was an opportunity for U.S.-based companies, manufacturers, and solution providers to meet senior energy sector decision-makers from these countries who are looking to procure advanced methane leak detection and abatement technologies and services and discuss best practices in methane abatement.

The U.S. visit, hosted by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), included a Business Briefing on May 24, 2023, in Houston, TX. U.S. companies had the opportunity to meet the delegates, provide a brief overview of their solutions, and gain insight into specific near-term commercial opportunities to support methane abatement projects in the MENA Region.
