BUSINESS BRIEFING: Advanced Technologies for Methane Abatement in Latin America

The Bilateral Chamber is supporting the U.S. Trade and Development Agency's reverse trade mission on advanced technologies for methane abatement for Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, and Mexico. This is an opportunity for U.S.-based companies, manufacturers, and solution providers to meet senior energy sector decision-makers from these countries who are looking to procure advanced methane leak detection and abatement technologies and services and discuss best practices in methane abatement.

The U.S. visit will include a Business Briefing on December 13, 2023, in Houston, TX. U.S. companies will have the opportunity to meet the delegates, provide a brief overview of their solutions, and gain insight into specific near-term commercial opportunities to support methane abatement projects in Latin America.

At COP28, Global Methane Pledge Ministerial, Ministers welcomed transformational national actions and catalytic grant funding to deliver on the goal to cut methane at least 30 percent by 2030 and announced $1 billion in new grant funding for methane action. Read more.
