Gastech returns to Houston, TX after 19 years. It's the inaugural event in a new quadrennial cycle through the self-proclaimed "Energy Capital of the World.

Before the conference started, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner lead a high-profile delegation to Barcelona to wave the flag and take the torch to Texas. 

"There's no better time for Gastech to come back to Houston. The United States is now a net exporter of natural gas for the first time in over half a century, and Houston will be at the center of that commerce."
