H&M to open in Cairo
H&M, the international fashion retailer, will soon be available to eager followers of fashion in Cairo, Egypt. The store will open on June 5th 2008 in Cairo's exclusive Stars Centre mall in the new Citystars development.
The expansion of the trendy high street brand is a result of H&M's strategic partnership with M.H. Alshaya, one of the Middle East's leading retailers.
Kraft opens US$40m food plant
Global food processor, Kraft Foods has opened a US$40m food and beverage manufacturing plant at the Bahrain International Investment Park in Bahrain to cater to the expanding Middle East and African markets.
One of the largest foreign food and beverage plants in the Middle East, the ISO-certified facility will roll out 60,000 tonnes of Kraft cheese and powdered beverages annually.
GAC consolidates Gulf role with M&S renewal
GAC Logistics has announced the renewal of its contract with Al Futtaim Retail, which holds the Marks & Spencer franchise, to manage the international retail brand's warehousing and distribution needs across the Gulf Co-Operation Council states, except Saudi Arabia.
Under the continuing arrangement, GAC Logistics, which has been in partnership with Al Futtaim since 1996, will manage M&S's distribution centre in Dubai and handle delivery to the global retailer's nine stores across five GCC countries the UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain. This includes the world's largest M&S store outside the UK, at Dubai Festival City.
