Arab states to invest over US$23bn in warships

Arab countries are set to spend more than US$23 billion on warships to boost maritime security, market sources said as Qatar inaugurated its first-ever maritime defence exhibition.

The naval market in the Middle East and North Africa region has already witnessed a growth rate of 65 percent over the past eight years, and is now ready to make record purchases of frigates, patrol vessels and submarines, market forecasts show.

Abu Dhabi's CNIA signs US$817m security deal with AGT/AIS

Critical National Infrastructural Authority (CNIA) signed a AED 3 billion (US$817m) 'DERA project' agreement with AGT AIS, to offer a fully integrated security solution for all utilities and vital assets of Abu Dhabi.

The agreement will enable cooperation between the two organisations to develop a long term strategic objectives of developing new techniques, programmes and specialised devices to support the security and offer economic stability of assets and the emirate.

Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Authority signs weapons deal

The Critical National Infrastructural Authority announced that it had signed a AED54m ($US14.7m) weapons deal with the International Golden Group, to provide a wide range of high advanced security equipment, which would help CNIA achieve the stability of the vital assets of Abu Dhabi.
